Born in 1955. He has received B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees at the Istanbul Technical University Aeronautical Engineering in 1979 and 1981, respectively. He has received another M.Sc. degree at Stanford University in 1984 and completed Ph.D. study in Aerospace Engineering Department of the same University in 1986.
